Delete your ZapYaw account

You can delete your ZapYaw account and its data at any time. This page explains how, and what gets removed.

Delete in the app (recommended)

Open ZapYaw and go to Settings → Delete my account.
Confirm. Your account is then scheduled for deletion after a 30-day grace period.
Changed your mind? You can cancel any time within those 30 days by simply signing back in. After 30 days the deletion is permanent.

Prefer to email us?

If you can’t access the app, email support@zapyaw.com from the phone number associated with your account (or include it in your message) and we will process the deletion for you.

What is deleted

When the deletion completes, we remove your personal information associated with the account, including:

Your account and phone number, profile name, photo, and “about” text.
Your messages and the media (photos, voice messages) you sent, from our servers.
Your group memberships and the one-way contact codes used for friend matching.
Your push-notification device token.

Some information may be retained for a limited period only where we are legally required to keep it or need it to resolve disputes, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Crash and diagnostic logs do not contain your message content.
